Kurinuki Workshop
Kurinuki is a Japanese form of ceramics, It is a subtractive process where the form is carved from a solid lump of clay. Kurinuki is a slow and meditative process of making where the clay is carved rather than sculpted. The purpose is to create asymmetric and organic vessels that will then be fired and glazed ready to be collected approx. 3 weeks later. Kurinuki is a spontaneous dance with the clay, an exercise in letting go and experiencing each mark as it happens. This class is suitable for all levels whether you want to expand your pottery skillset or have never touch clay in your life. Price includes materials an firing.
