An Evening workshop at Introduced, St Leonards as part of Summer Nights, art week on sea. This workshop is the first in a series of classes at Introduced, including, natural dyeing, wreath making, flower arranging and drawing. In this ceramics workshop we will explore using natural materials within conventional shop bought clay bodies. You will be able to experiment with crushed rocks, minerals and sand, mainly found along the hastings coast line as well as local clays and slips (liquid clay). I will be holding the space for you to play and experiment with these materials, but I do not have all the answers. These materials can do strange things in the kiln and that is part of the beauty of using them. This class is suitable for all levels whether you want to expand your pottery skillset or have never touch clay in your life. Price includes materials and firing.
